Wonder Women follows the life of a couple of models, Cecilia Yip and Carol Cheng, over a period of a week. Cecilia escapes from a platonic high profile relationship and bunks with Carol, having no place to go. Michael Wong later enters as a love interest for them both that puts their bond to the test.

The story excels in blending comedy with mild drama. It always keeps us engaged with the characters. The humor is some of the best of its time and is still very entertaining. It stands out from the usual HK slapstick.

Carol Cheng and Cecilia Yip make an incredible pairing and each trying to outshine the other. Both of them play their characters to perfection. Carol may have overacted the dimness of her a character just a little bit but nevertheless is great to watch. Its remarkable that it's like she's a different person and one can be forgiven to think so. Just for comparison, you can see All Night Long in which she's yet another person. Most HK films cast her in roles similar to the Her Fatal Ways series which was sad waste of talent. Michael Wong's role for once suits him, where he usually harasses with his poor acting and "classy pretty boy" bit. The cast is such an odd grouping and yet it is one of the most refreshing and intresting interactions of that time. All of them are incredibly young, good looking and extremely talented.

The film is a very unique take and unlike any film from that era or the ones after it for that matter. It takes us on a ride with the characters over the course of a week living their highs and lows, showing how quickly life's events take us. All while keeping it fun and dramatic at the same time. This is one that is definitely recommended to watch.
