Kenny Bee is a tailor living with his bickering old boss's daughter Cecilia Yip. After a rough quarrel, which reaffirms their dependence on each other, they decide to get married. Unfortunately they end up in a wierd traffic accident just after the wedding. They are given another chance, due a their deaths being a clerical mistake by heaven's officials. But when they do try, only Kenny Bee gets a person inhabit. Cecilia gets stuck. In their attempts to find a person to kill, they realise that others are out to kill them as well.

The movie is a slightly new take on the comic ghost formula of HK. It creates a nice premise from the start with a slow build up. But it veers off half way through and has trouble figuring out what genre it wants to be. Only to end up concluding it all way too quick.

Kenny Bee and Cecilia Yip make a great pairing. Their interactions feels totally natural despite some exaggerated script. Tai Bo makes a nice appearance and adds a lot of value to the scenes he's in. Julia Nickson's part is largely forgettable, though her role is critical as the girlfriend trying to kill her boyfriend who actaully wants to kill her as well. Alot of comic potential arising from those situations was lost here. All the others make very minor appearances to have much impact.

Production is so-so. The film really lacks direction in the literal sense. Alot more could have been done after with the nice setup. Its a typical HK film of the 80s. It has all the sensibilities of the time. But the viewer is let down by its lack of follow through on the initial promise.
